THE WORLD ENGLISH BIBLE
The World English Bible (WEB) is a modern version of the Bible based on the American Standard Version. The WEB Bible follows a fairly literal "word for word" translation philosophy, but is clear and readable without being overly "stiff" or archaic. Readers will notice that the name of God translated "LORD" in the King James Bible is simply transliterated from the Hebrew as "Yahweh," but apart from this the WEB Bible reads much like other good modern translations such as the ESV. This edition has a table of contents with links to jump to each book (but not individual chapters) of the Bible.
